Scott Sprenger

Scott Sprenger is the dean of the Lindquist College of Arts and Humanities at Weber State University and director of the Hurst Artist in Residency Program and Browning Presents!, a performing arts presenting organization.

Prior to his appointment at WSU, he was the Provost and Executive Vice President at the American University of Paris. Sprenger received his PhD in French literature from Emory University, was a Fulbright Scholar at the Centre National de Recherches Scientifiques in Paris, an Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow for 2 years at UCLA, and has published several volumes and articles on European literature and ideas.

Prior to the position in Paris he served as associate dean and professor of French literature in the College of Humanities at Brigham Young University.
