Janice Lopez is a seasoned designer, producer and community builder. She is a recipient of Interior Design Magazine’s Future Furniture Designer award, and several of her projects have been published in national and local publications.
She has over 15 years of design and construction experience including architectural, landscape, interior, furniture, and event production. Managing projects from conception to completion.
Her agility and competency in project management and design-driven problem solving are founded in years of product development, operations and marketing.
Prior to designing physical properties and products, Janice developed web and mobile platforms with Tech start-ups like Rent, imAthlete, and eToys.
She has authored product specifications, implemented QA and operational processes, built Sales and CRM tools, defined marketing and content strategy, and trained customer service teams.
Janice thrives on projects that allow her to exercise her core competencies in both physical and virtual design in order to positively impact the human experience.
She hopes to engender thoughtful community development through her commitment to design and technological innovation.
Janice is presently working as: Summit Institute’s Program Manager – the Institute is the non-profit arm of Summit whose mission is to apply creative solutions to real-world challenges related to the environment, education, the arts, health and social innovation.
She recently worked at: Downtown Project – a $350M commercial development project within the heart of downtown Vegas, funded by Zappos CEO, Tony Hsieh, whose purpose is to help make Downtown Vegas a place of Inspiration, Entrepreneurial Energy, Creativity, Innovation, Upward Mobility, and Discovery.
