We love the Spring… a time of possibility, renewal, birth.

This May, Ogden is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the driving of the Golden Spike – the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad… which made Ogden into one of the most important towns in the West.

To honor this occasion, we’ve partnered with Ogden-Weber Community Action Partnership, an organization which, through Head Start, is “Opening the world to children and families for opportunities toward self-sufficiency.”

Their constituents have created an installation for #O1PLATFORMS that honors our rail history as a metaphor for the foundation of future growth and success that Head Start provides – just as the 9 rail lines converging on Ogden laid the foundation for her growth and success.

We invite you to come out this Friday, for #FirstFridayArtStroll, and celebrate their “Education + Innovation” exhibition! We’d like to thank Utah Division of Arts & MuseumsWeber County RAMP, and Hostlers Model Railroad Club for all their support in making this happen – AND congratulate the young maestros who worked on this wonderful project!

Of course, while you’re there, have a look across the street at #O1WALLS three newly-finished #ARTicipate #murals, chosen by YOU the community, from among 9 local artists’ submissions. In our last newsletter, we announced the three winners: “Grow Where You Are” by Emily Munk,, “Bees’ by Jessica Ritter, and “Electric West” by Lindsay Huss. We’ll host a dedication ceremony later this month, so stay tuned …

Speaking of the Heritage Festival, come visit our booth on 25th St. on Saturday the 11th … tell us what you think of what we’ve been doing, what you’d like to see more of … and learn about our REALLY BIG SUPER SECRET PROJECT this fall. We’ll also be fundraising for another mural, Jaxsen Layton’s “Synchronicity”, which was a super close runner up … we need around $2500 – and a wall. Can you help with either?
