12/26/18 Newsletter

What do you want for Christmas?!

As is customary in November, over the last couple weeks we’ve given thanks for past and present support from our fans, sponsors, donors, and of course, the artists we’ve worked with over the last couple years.

It’s now December, and that means the end of another season of PLATFORMS. We’re already looking forward to 2019’s season, hopefully opening in just 3 short months! (And… we MIGHT have some over-winter surprises too!)

Around this time, we have family and friends ask us what we want for the Holidays. So we’re asking YOU. We plan on taking a pretty good look at what we’re doing, when, and with / for whom. We invite your feedback. In fact, if you’d like a role in O1ARTS’ programming, there are a couple ways to have your say:

*Give us your Wish List: For those of you who might have missed it, we posted back in October, looking for your programming proposals for PLATFORMS. (http://ogdenfirst.org/…/10-31-18-o1platforms-call-for-prop…/) There’s still time, but ideally, we’d want to hear from you before Dec. 15. Create your DREAM exhibit, and let us help!

*Whisper in our ear: Maybe you aren’t an artist or performer yourself… you just have great ideas for how we might best serve the community? We are looking for your input too. Drop us a note if you’d like to serve as a volunteer or on an advisory committee.

*Share with others: Awhile back, we set up a Facebook Group: Contemporary Art Share. We’d love you to join, and share images, videos, reviews, articles… anything contemporary art-related …stuff you like (and why), stuff you didn’t like (and also why not). It’s a great way to connect with us, let us know what you’d like to see from our new gallery space next summer, and maybe connect with some other folks you don’t already know.

Finally, ‘Tis the Season for…. Music, Dance and Theater. Check out the Calendar listings, and book your tickets to TONIGHT’S Utah Symphony – Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos (we’ll see you there!), or upcoming Amahl and the Night VisitorsImagine Ballet Theatre’s “The NutcrackerThe Greatest Showman Sing-A-Long– and more. Don’t forget free events like Jazz at the Station, every 2nd Wednesday. There’s SO MUCH great stuff going on that through the winter, we’re going to send a full newsletter monthly, but also a 2nd that’s really just calendar listings. But, hey, there’s #nothingtodoinogden, amirite?

Until the New Year, we wish you and yours a Holiday Season of Love, Happiness, Peace, and unbridled Creativity.
